David Jaye |
You know somone's good when their peers consistently place
them as among the best, if not the best songwriter
/ performer in their scene. Quietly, Alli Collis has become
known as just that in and around the northeast and mid-atlantic
regions where she's recently taken up residence. On her
debut cd, and now with her follow up, Signal On The Starboard,
Collis rises to a level which should do the same on a national
level. www.allicollis.com
If David Jaye's jazzy guitar riffs don't grab you, his
haunting songs and delivery will. Indie-Music.com recently
wrote about his new release, A Fall Too Far, "Truly
rare is it to witness an instrumentation with such attention
to details, so nimbly and gracefully played, streaming from
one musicians one instrument ... or two or three.
As if this totally excellent guitar playing wasnt
enough, (Jaye) has no problem slinging his guitar to the
floor only to pick up his saxophone..." Jaye and Collis
have been performing together off and on for over a year.

| The Matthew Show |
Born and raised in rural Texas, matthew spent 10 years
navigating the murky waters of the North Texas music scene
in a variety of bands. He moved to New York in 2002 to pursue
a solo career as the matthew show. In 2003 his debut solo
album, texas, was released to wide critical acclaim. His
Letter From NYC, a somewhat-monthly missive from the city
to those back in Middle America, is read widely and, like
texas, has garnered notice as an entertaining document of
a rather odd American life. He currently resides in Brooklyn.
